Description

At workshop , you can expand your knowledge and skills at shop , while learning to forge one of the most basic tools in the blacksmith's trade: the hammer! Hammers come in a variety of shapes and weights, depending on the task in hand, and it's extremely useful to know how to forge them yourself. In this workshop web site, you'll learn how to forge your own hammer: forge the head to the shape you need, calculate the density of the material, balance your hammer, fit it in, and give it the finishing touches!

Level : intermediate

Language: Our courses are mainly taught in French. However, for those who prefer instruction in English, we recommend enrolling in a private or semi-private course. 

Prerequisites : to have followed our workshop Introduction to traditional blacksmithing and Introduction to Knifemaking.

Duration: two days, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Minimum age : 18 years old

Cost : 750+ taxes

Places per workshop : 6

Other details: Bring a lunch and a bottle of water; a fridge and microwave will be available. Please wear natural clothing (jeans, cotton, etc.) and sturdy, closed-toe shoes. All tools will be provided on site.
