FIRST SUNDAY OF THE MONTH - FREE

Open to the general public, the activities we offer every 1st Sunday of the month are FREE!

Every first Sunday of the month, we organize special activities linked to traditional blacksmithing. These activities include guided tours of our exhibition and a continuous blacksmithing demonstration by our traditional blacksmiths. Keep an eye on our social networks to find out more about our program!

EXHIBITION CONTENT

The exhibition "Savoir-fer" presents the evolution of the practices and the role of the artisanal forge, from industrialisation to the present day. It also helps to demystify the work of the artisan blacksmith. It is also an opportunity to showcase the research work carried out by craftspeople at the Forges de Montréal on traditional know-how. It is also an opportunity to promote the history of the Riverside pumping station, a heritage building that has housed the organization for nearly 20 years.
