Refund policy

Cancellation, Absence and Delay Policy for workshops:

Conditions relating to cancellations, absences and late arrivals.

Cancellation

All workshops sales are final. No refunds will be made unless there is a serious reason why a person cannot attend workshop (e.g.: health problem with supporting medical evidence).

If you are unable to attend workshop , you have two options;

Offer your spot to someone close to you.; spots at workshops are transferable at any time.
Make a date change (see conditions below).

Date change

It is possible to make one (1) date change free of charge, up to fifteen (15) days before the start of workshop, to register for a later date. To request a date change, please contact us by e-mail at [email protected] or by calling us at (438) 386-9182.

Cancellation insurance

If you need flexibility, you can add cancellation insurance when purchasing a workshop . This insurance allows you to cancel your attendance at workshop at any time, and receive a full refund.

If you have cancellation insurance and wish to cancel your workshop, please write to us as soon as possible at [email protected]. The refund will be made within 10 working days of the request.

Absence

An absence is defined as not being present at the workshop for which the student is registered.

No refunds or retakes will be permitted in the event of a student's absence from workshop.
In the case of a multi-session workshop where the student is absent during a session, it is the student's responsibility to contact Les Forges to inquire about make-up opportunities. Feesranging from $50/hr to $100/hr will be charged, depending on the level of difficulty of the training. IMPORTANT: no refunds will be issued for missed training sessions.

Lateness

Due to the nature of our training courses, no late arrivals will be allowed. Students are required to arrive between 10 and 15 minutes before the start of the training. Les Forges is located in a remote area, please plan your travel accordingly.

The instructor has the right to refuse access to the training for any student who arrives late.
If a delay is justified, communicated in advance to the instructor or the Forges team, and does not compromise the training, it may be accepted. However, this decision remains at the discretion of the instructor.
A delay is considered justified when it is due to a medical appointment (with supporting documentation) or to exceptional weather conditions causing travel difficulties.

Material missed due to lateness will be covered during the session ONLY if the trainer has the necessary time and if this does not hinder the progress of the other students. The trainer is under no obligation to repeat the material if it interferes the progress of workshop.

Rescheduling of a Workshop

In the event that a workshop has to be cancelled (instructor ill, insufficient number of participants, power outage...) les Forges de Montréal will contact all participants as soon as possible to inform them. An e-mail will be sent during the following week proposing a new date to reschedule the workshop.

In the case of a one- or two-day workshop , participants unable to attend the proposed rescheduled date may either :

Suggest an alternative date that fits the training schedule, or
Request a refund.

In the event of cancellation during workshops sessions lasting more than 2 days, an additional session will be added after the final scheduled session, following the same timetable (e.g; for workshop held on Tuesday evenings, an additional Tuesday evening will be proposed). If a student is cannot attend a proposed workshop date, they can discuss ulternative options with the Forges team. However, Les Forges do not commit to accommodating all students' schedules but will do their best to ensure everyone can complete the training.
