Description

Deepen your knowledge and skills in a shop forge by forging this remarkable tool! The belt axe is a traditional pattern of trading axes found in New France, which has had great importance in the history of Quebec. Used in warfare and for cutting wood and rope, this axe is shorter and lighter than other types of axes. In this workshop, you will learn how to forge your own hatchet from A to Z: forge the iron head of the axe and insert steel for the edge, sharpen it, treat it, and fit it.
